Approximately $1.64 Million in Bonuses Paid Out at the Ministry of Justice Over 20 Months
Yerkir.am submitted a written inquiry to the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, requesting information on the amount of bonuses paid to the ministry's employees from May 9, 2018, to December 31, 2019.
According to the written response received (attached), it is revealed that during the specified period, bonuses paid to employees of the Ministry of Justice were sourced from the savings in the salary fund amounting to 125,784.2 thousand drams, from the off-budget account amounting to 528,556.3 thousand drams, and from the reward fund designated for civil servants based on performance results, amounting to 128,906.4 thousand drams.
The total sum of bonuses paid over the 20 months amounts to 783,246,900 drams, or approximately $1,640,000, which translates to around $82,000 per month.
As per the decision issued by the Prime Minister on June 11, 2018, the maximum number of employees at the Ministry of Justice is set at 300.
