Banks Should Postpone Loan Repayments, Says Tsarukyan
Today the most important thing is that bank interest payments and principal repayments are suspended for a period of two to three months. There is no trade today, and people need to pay back the principal and interest,” said Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the ‘Prosperous Armenia’ parliamentary faction, during a conversation with reporters.
“Bank interest rates should be frozen so that people do not suffer a second blow. This decision must be made today; otherwise, our entire economy will collapse,” the politician stated.
Tsarukyan's other appeal relates to people's responsibility to seek medical attention if they exhibit symptoms. Otherwise, if they are infected and transmit the virus to their loved ones, they will not be able to forgive themselves.
