Apply to the Passport and Visa Department Only in Cases of Urgent Necessity and Alone: Police
Considering that health officials have provided clear instructions for health preservation, including avoiding crowded places to prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus, the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia requests and urges:
- Visit the Passport and Visa Department, the Administrative Division of the Traffic Police, and other administrative buildings of these departments only in cases of urgent necessity and alone, without accompanying persons.
- Except for the cases of obtaining a passport and applying for Armenian citizenship, all other actions can also be performed through an authorized representative. Therefore, one person can apply on behalf of others with a general written power of attorney. For any passport-related actions regarding a child under 16 years old, the presence of the child is not mandatory. Hence, when visiting passport services, it is advised to refrain from bringing children.
