Temporary Amendments Proposed to Tax Code by Mane Tandilyan
MP Mane Tandilyan from the "Enlightened Armenia" faction wrote on her Facebook page: "Due to the financial and economic crisis and the spread of coronavirus, many companies in the tourism sector are facing serious challenges due to a sharp drop in tourism.
In particular, the hotel business and public catering establishments have almost been paralyzed. The same situation is observed in companies engaged in tourism and ticket sales. In this context, it is crucial to provide state support to these companies. I propose that the government initiate temporary amendments to the tax code in an extraordinary manner, establishing tax holidays for companies in this sector for all types of taxes for at least six months.
At the same time, the City Hall of Yerevan is also obliged to present a similar initiative, exempting public catering companies in Yerevan from local taxes and fees, as well as land rent payments."
