We Are Not Participating in Any Way, Marukyan

Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia faction in the National Assembly, stated during today’s parliamentary briefing that he cannot comment on what dangers may arise from the campaign for the referendum.

"We are not participating in any way, we only hope that the poster with the skull image, which also had our name on it, has been removed. We have no other comments to make. We are not following the campaign to record any violations," he said.

When asked what their electoral base should do on April 5—whether to go or not to go to the referendum—Marukyan replied that they had already addressed this in their last press conference and have nothing more to say on the matter.

"The government has a very high rating, but there are citizens of Armenia who do not agree with certain things. We represent those people," Marukyan stated.

He also added that it is not necessary for people to love the opposition; what is important is that they trust it.
