Central Bank of Armenia Addresses Economic Developments Due to Coronavirus
The Central Bank of Armenia has addressed the global economic developments occurring due to the coronavirus. The Central Bank provided a commentary to Armenpress, which is presented below.
“The Central Bank of Armenia is closely monitoring the global economic developments resulting from the coronavirus. According to current assessments, it is expected that these impacts will be short-term for both the global economy and the Armenian economy. Nevertheless, the Central Bank continuously observes the developments in the global economy, financial, and commodity markets and evaluates the short-term effects that may be recorded on the Armenian economy. If necessary, the Central Bank is always ready to respond, ensuring price and financial stability in the Republic of Armenia,”
