Special Flight from Iran to Armenia to Return Citizens
Citizens of Armenia located in Iran will be able to return to Armenia tomorrow, February 26, via a special flight. This was announced by Arsen Avagyan, the head of the Border Countries Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, in an interview with Armenpress.
“Sixty-five citizens of the Republic of Armenia have applied to the Armenian Embassy in Iran. A special flight is planned for February 26 to return Armenian citizens to their homeland,” the official stated.
It is worth noting that the coronavirus has already spread to several provinces in Iran, including major cities, with Tehran being the capital. For this reason, the Armenian government has restricted border crossings and flights in the direction of Iran and from Iran to Armenia.
