Coronavirus Reaches Austria and Croatia
The TASS news agency reports that two confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the federal state of Tyrol, located in western Austria. This marks the first instance of coronavirus infection within the territory of Austria.
According to the source, both infected individuals sought medical assistance due to high fever. Their condition is assessed as stable. One of the infected had recently arrived from the Lombardy region in northern Italy, where infection cases have also been reported.
The Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has also confirmed the first case of coronavirus infection in Croatia. The infected individual is currently hospitalized and is aged between 19-21 years; they visited Milan in February.
TASS also reports that the authorities in Croatia plan to quarantine all individuals who have been in direct contact with this person. Nine other citizens have also undergone testing.
