Netanyahu Announces Plans to Build 2,200 Housing Units in East Jerusalem
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on February 20 plans to construct 2,200 housing units and single-family homes in the Har Homa Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem.
“Today I am announcing the creation of a new neighborhood in the Har Homa area, where we will build 2,200 residential units. This will increase the population by approximately 12,000. The population of Har Homa will reach 50,000, similar to a mid-sized city in Israel,” the Prime Minister stated.
