Snow Falls in Jermuk, Saravan-Zanger and Meghrukh Mountains
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 19 at 21:40, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed for an indefinite period. There is black ice in some places on the Sotk-Karvachar and Syunik region roads.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, and difficult for other vehicles. In Jermuk city of Vayots Dzor region, snow has fallen in the areas known as Saravan-Zanger and Meghrukh Mountains.
Regarding the Lars situation, according to information from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars roadway is open for all types of vehicles. According to the information received from the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, there are 247 trucks piled up on the Russian side.
