Fact: Government Sabotaging Pashinyan's Efforts as Investor Leaves Dissatisfied

The "Fact" newspaper writes: "Another investor has encountered the bureaucracy present in the government system in Armenia and has become disillusioned. We have information that immediately after the revolution, the international company First Industrial Zone expressed interest in investing in Armenia. With a project consisting of two phases, this company was ready to invest $30 million in the first phase, create 200 jobs, and engage in the production of armored vehicles, provided that it would receive a five-year tax exemption.

According to the proposal, 10 percent of the vehicles were supposed to be provided to the Republic of Armenia on a charitable basis, specifically to the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense. The owners met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and after that meeting, Pashinyan clearly instructed to form a commission and support the project. However, for two years now, a commission composed of representatives from the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and other related bodies has been unable to reach a conclusion. It appears that the government is, metaphorically speaking, sabotaging Nikol Pashinyan's initiatives.

According to "Fact" newspaper, frustrated by the lack of progress, the investor has decided to close the project and leave Armenia. It seems that this government only thinks about immediate gains, does not draw up long-term plans, and lacks a clear strategy for what we will have several years from now."
