Ice Patches Reported on Roads in Syunik Province
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 18 at 18:21, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the territory of Armenia.
The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatston province will remain closed for an indeterminate period. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse.
In Syunik Province, there are ice patches reported on the roads.
Regarding the Lars region, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Management Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to freight transport. The Russian side has reported a backlog of 250 trucks.
