54,000 Expired Eggs Destroyed

Recently, due to the overproduction of food eggs observed in the republic, the State Food Safety Inspection Body has been conducting oversight measures in the egg market, particularly in egg-producing organizations.

The State Food Safety Inspection Body reported that specialists from the Armavir Regional Center discovered 150 boxes containing 54,000 expired eggs at the 'Myas' LLC in the Myasnikyan community of the Armavir region. The eggs were destroyed on-site.

During an oversight of the 'Lusakert' LLC by inspectors from the Kotayk Regional Center, approximately 130,000 eggs marked as 'future' were found, with production dates marked as the 19th, 20th, and 22nd of 2020. A directive to suspend the sale of the product has been issued, and sampling has been conducted to determine freshness. The results of the laboratory tests will be presented subsequently.
