The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Arayik Harutyunyan, shared good news during a Facebook live stream for students who have been absent from school due to illness in recent days.
He informed that following discussions with Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, it has been decided that absences due to illness from January 8 to February 15 will be nullified for these students. Absences from February 17 to March 10 will be considered excused if there is a doctor's certificate.
Harutyunyan noted that there is no reason to close schools or postpone classes. He added that schools must create opportunities for children to catch up on what they missed. For more details, watch the video.
