Shooter From ‘Erebuni Plaza’ Transferred to Psychiatric Hospital: Aram Avetisyan
The individual who fired shots at ‘Erebuni Plaza’ on January 23, Arthur Torosyan, has been transferred to a psychiatric hospital based on a court decision for an inpatient forensic psychiatric examination. This information was confirmed by Aram Avetisyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, in an interview with Auroranews.
It is noteworthy that Torosyan remains a suspect and is in custody.
Recall that on January 23, at 14:38, the police received a call regarding gunfire in the vicinity of ‘Erebuni Plaza’. Later, the individual who had discharged the weapon surrendered it after negotiations with Acting Chief of Police Arman Sargsyan and was arrested. He was transported to the police station from Erebuni Plaza in the service vehicle of Arman Sargsyan.
