Criminal Case Initiated for Leading Soldier Hayk Asryan to Suicide

On February 14, 2020, around 19:30, soldier Hayk Nerses Asryan, a lieutenant on combat duty in a protective area of military unit N, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 110, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia at the local military investigative department, and an investigation is underway.

Necessary investigative and other procedural actions are being taken to ensure a comprehensive, thorough, and objective examination of the case.
