55 Arrested During Opposition Protest in Azerbaijan
On February 16, in Baku, the opposition 'Musavat' party organized a protest in front of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan, resulting in the detention of several individuals, including candidates for parliament.
These candidates had previously lodged complaints about the electoral fraud that occurred during the parliamentary elections. The police, having closed off all entrances to the CEC building, forcibly placed everyone onto buses. According to the Musavat party's data, a total of 55 individuals were arrested.
