Salaries of Teachers in Tavush Province Delayed Due to Ongoing Calculations, Says Mane Ghazumyan
Teachers in public schools of Tavush Province usually receive their salaries on the 5th or 6th of each month. According to the law, their salaries are to be paid by the 15th of the following month. Up until now, school employees in the province have not received their salaries for January, making it difficult for educators to repay loans at banks and credit organizations.
Mane Ghazumyan, the acting head of the education, culture, and sports department of the Tavush Provincial Administration, stated that at the beginning of each year, salary payments tend to be slightly delayed due to ongoing calculations. She noted that the salary funds have already been transferred to the accounts of public schools in Tavush Province, and teachers will receive their salaries on February 13 and 14.
