I Propose President Aliyev to Perceive This Situation as Our Shared Problem: Pashinyan
The Republic of Armenia and Artsakh are ready to make real efforts to establish lasting peace in the region. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a discussion on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict involving the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the Munich Security Conference, as reported by Armenpress.
As the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, I consider this situation not only my responsibility for the security of my country, but I also understand my responsibility for the security of the region and global security. I propose President Aliyev to perceive this situation as our shared issue and a task: to establish lasting peace and stability. This situation should be viewed not only as a challenge of our national agenda but also as an issue on the global and regional security agenda. It is our duty to make efforts and contribute to global security, and I assure you that Armenia and Artsakh are ready for this,” Pashinyan stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the international community must clearly stress that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has no military solution. He remarked, “If someone thinks otherwise and claims there is a military solution to the conflict, I believe the people of Nagorno-Karabakh will respond that in that case, we can say this conflict is already resolved. However, I believe we need lasting, sustainable peace.”
