The Sisian-Zanger Section is Impassable

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced that as of February 14, at 21:00, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Qari Lich in the Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period of time.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and other difficult-to-navigate vehicles. The Sotk-Karvachar road is closed for trucks, while it is difficult to navigate for other vehicles. The Sisian-Zanger section is also impassable.

In the provinces of Syunik and Kotayk, as well as in the regions of Ararat and Aragatsotn, there are patches of black ice on the roads.

As reported by the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed only for trucks with trailers. According to information from the Russian emergency services, there is a backlog of approximately 1000 trucks on the Russian side.
