Zohrab Mnatsakanyan Meets with German State Minister for European Affairs Michael Roth
As part of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's delegation, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan arrived in Germany and met with Michael Roth, the State Minister for European Affairs of Germany, on February 13.
Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed satisfaction that Armenia highly values the established partnership relations with Germany. The interlocutors discussed in detail joint programs and initiatives aimed at expanding Armenian-German cooperation. A wide range of issues related to the Armenia-EU partnership agenda was also addressed. Both sides highlighted the role of the legal framework document, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), as pivotal in promoting Armenia's cooperation with the EU and EU member states.
Emphasizing that the primary beneficiaries of the Armenia-European Union partnership are the people, Minister Mnatsakanyan underscored the importance of launching work on the dialogue regarding the liberalization of visa regimes for EU countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the large-scale reform process implemented by the Armenian government, aimed at strengthening democracy, the rule of law, confidence in the judiciary, and combating corruption. There was also an exchange of views on a wide range of international and regional agenda issues,” the statement said.
