A resident of the Agjabedi region, Elshan Abbasov, had been considered missing since January 16. According to social media posts, Abbasov's body was discovered on February 12 in the direction of the village of Aghdam in the Tovuz region, within the interdepartmental zone of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. It is noted that Abbasov's body was dismembered. There are suggestions that Abbasov may have triggered a mine in the interdepartmental zone. However, the circumstances surrounding Abbasov's death remain unclear.
Major Reshad Akberov of the Airborne Troops, a resident of the Siyazan region of Azerbaijan, died from a heart attack. The date of death is unknown, but there are indications that the possible date might be February 10.
