Maroonyan Unsatisfied with Sidewalk Cleanliness: Mayor Discusses Snow Clearing Efforts

Next year, the issue of snow clearing will be resolved as the city hall plans to purchase the necessary equipment during this year. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a conversation with reporters today.

Referring to the recent snow clearing activities on the roads, Marutyan noted that he is satisfied with the work done on the trafficable parts of the streets. However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the sidewalks: "There are natural reasons for this. Our municipal organization has just been established, and we have not managed to replenish our equipment to properly clean the sidewalks. When I say I am dissatisfied, it doesn't mean that no work has been done. A significant amount of work has been done, and many sidewalks have been treated with salt and sand, and many sidewalks have been cleaned. However, the resources are still insufficient because there is a lack of equipment," said Hayk Marutyan.
