168 Hours: Armenian Aviation Market is Disintegrating as Companies Leave Armenia

The newspaper '168 Hours' reports: The news of budget airlines entering the Armenian market was as loud as it was disruptive, and it seems that the consequences will be equally noisy as these airlines contribute to the disintegration of the local market. The first sign of this seems to already be known.

According to 168.am sources, 'Tarom airlines' has halted ticket sales, which may be due to the unequal competitive conditions. Continuing to pay a 10,000 AMD air charge while providing services under far better conditions will not work for 'Ryanair' and 'Wizz Air'.

The next step after halting ticket sales will certainly be leaving the market, and unfortunately, 'Tarom' is unlikely to be the only airline to exit the Armenian aviation market. This concerns 'Air France', 'Aegean', and 'Austrian airlines' as well... Time will tell which airline will be the next to potentially leave.

While the Armenian market is emptied of traditional airlines that not only differ in their services but also contributed financially to the state budget, budget airlines will continue to leave Armenian passengers on the streets of Milan without taking responsibility.
