Nairit May Be Sold to Iranian Party
On February 10, during a conversation with journalists regarding the re-launch of the Nairit plant, Tigran Khachatryan did not deny that Nairit may be sold to an Iranian party. The government is negotiating with the Iranian side about the re-launch.
“In all such cases, if there is an investment proposal that contains guarantees regarding its long-term sustainability, the government is ready to discuss it. In any case, the government is ready to consider any investment initiative in this regard,” Tigran Khachatryan told reporters.
He did not provide any details and urged to wait, assuring that everything would be clear soon. He also mentioned that he cannot present calculations on how much money is needed for the re-launch of Nairit. “Regardless of the amount, first, we need to assess its technical feasibility,” he emphasized.
