Decrease in Coronavirus Spread in China, Except for Hubei Province

The number of newly confirmed cases of coronavirus infection across all provinces in China, except for Hubei Province, which is the epicenter of the disease, has been declining for the sixth consecutive day. This was stated by the State Health Committee of the People’s Republic of China.

According to daily statistics, a clear positive trend is visible in provinces other than Hubei. Thus, on February 3, 3,235 cases were identified nationwide, of which 890 were outside Hubei; on February 4, the numbers were 3,887 and 731, on February 5 it was 3,694 and 707, on February 6 – 3,143 and 696, on February 7 – 3,399 and 558, on February 8 – 2,656 and 509, and on February 9 – 3,062 and 444 cases.

As representatives of the responsible authorities have stated, the decreasing trend is evidence of the effective measures implemented to combat the spread of the disease.
