Aparan-Nigavan Closed: Road Conditions as of 08:30
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 7, at 08:30, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass and the Aparan-Nigavan road in the Ararat region are closed to all types of vehicles. The following roads are difficult to pass: Sotk-Karmir, Kayk-Vardenis, Sipan-Geghadzor, and the roads leading to Yeghipatrush and Mravyan villages in the Aragatsotn region, as well as the roads in the Tsaghkadzor region.
There is black ice in some sections of the Kapan-Goris roads, as well as on the Saravan-Zanger and Sisian-Zanger sections. In the Shirak region, there are snowstorms in the Ashotsk and Amasia areas.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Larsi road is open for passenger vehicles but closed for trucks. It is reported that on the Russian side, there is a buildup of 430 trucks.
