Turkey to Suspend Flights from China Until March
The Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, has announced that Turkey will suspend flights from China from February 5 until the end of the month. The minister noted that the deadly coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China, could peak in its spread and severity soon, prompting this decision to prevent the infection from entering Turkey.
Koca added that a new decision will be made at the end of February regarding whether flights will resume or not, as reported by Ermenihaber.
The Turkish minister also informed that currently, 61 individuals evacuated from China are under medical supervision in Turkey. No coronavirus has been detected in them, but according to regulations, these individuals remain in quarantine.
