Weapons, 111 Bullets, $28,000 – What Was Found at Zvartnots Airport in 2019
During 2019, employees of the Aviation Security Service at Zvartnots International Airport discovered 1 weapon, 111 bullets, and 1824 items in controlled and specially controlled areas, including nearly $28,000 in cash, valuable and semi-precious jewelry, documents, and other personal belongings. Additionally, three theft attempts were prevented. This information was shared in a post on the Facebook page of Zvartnots International Airport.
“Emphasizing the service provided by each airport employee and especially the role of aviation security personnel in ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the airport, we would like to express our gratitude to them for their proper and responsible work throughout the year. We urge our passengers to be more attentive to their personal belongings, refrain from attempting to carry prohibited items or materials, and to avoid causing issues for other travelers,” the post stated.
