Intergovernmental Commission to Prevent Coronavirus Established by Prime Minister's Decision
By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, an intergovernmental commission has been established to coordinate efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan. This was reported by the official website of the Government of Armenia.
The Prime Minister's decision states:
Guided by Article 7, Part 16 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Structure and Activities of the Government:
- To create an intergovernmental commission for the purpose of coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia and to approve its individual composition as per the appendix.
- The head of the intergovernmental commission for coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia shall present a summary of information about the current situation and ongoing efforts to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia within three days after this decision comes into force.
