"Die, Armenian bastard" – Turk used racist graffiti to apply for asylum

In the Pertak region of Turkey's Tunceli province, an unknown person recently wrote "Die, Armenian bastard" on the door of 66-year-old Kumru Akkaya, who lives alone, and left a bullet near the door. This was reported by Ermenihaber.

According to Turkish sources, the police investigation revealed that the derogatory message was left at the request of the woman’s son, Yusuf Inan Akkaya. It is noted that Akkaya had asked a relative living in Turkey to leave such a message on their door so that he could apply for asylum in Germany.

Reports indicate that Akkaya has been in Germany since 2015, presenting himself to German authorities as an Alevi and informing them that the life safety of Alevis in Turkey is not ensured.
