Arthur Vanetsyan's Strong Response to Alen Simonian's Statement

“Alen Simonian is lying. I have not had any conversations with him regarding Hrayr Tovmasyan. Firstly, because there has been no such mediation, and secondly, even if there had been, he is not the person with whom I would discuss such matters,” former NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan told NEWS.am, responding to the statement made by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian, who claimed that in 2018, Vanetsyan called him and said that Hrayr Tovmasyan was ready to support him in every way, as long as he retained his position.

“As a former friend of Alen Simonian, a person who has shared bread with him, I regret that his political team is behaving this way towards him. I feel sorry that he has agreed to be shamefully used for the absurd ambitions of one person who does not hesitate to pit even friends and family members against each other. I believe that if Alen had been used before the shameful story of the 'chicken pen and pen', the picture would not be so pathetic. It is obvious that this story was concocted on the fly after yesterday's mockery; otherwise, there would have been references to Alen’s leader’s known post about the pen or in the morning live stream,” Vanetsyan stated.
