Import of Animal Products and Raw Materials from China Banned to Prevent COVID-19 Entry into Armenia
In order to prevent the entry of Coronavirus from the People's Republic of China into the Republic of Armenia, an order from the head of the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body has banned the import of animal products and raw materials from the People's Republic of China, as well as those produced in other countries using Chinese-origin raw materials, effective January 26, 2020.
The basis for the ban is the information published on the official websites of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding Coronavirus recorded in China.
The ban will remain in effect until official information is published by WHO and OIE declaring China free of Coronavirus.
