Warden of Vardashen Penitentiary Injured in Accident
On January 21, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:00, cars with license plates 095 ТТ 03 (VАЗ 2121) and 35 QV 756 (ГАЗ 2410) collided at the intersection of Atoyan and Sasuntsi David streets. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries resulting from the accident.
Rapid response teams from the Yerevan Traffic Police arrived at the scene, but the drivers refused assistance, stating they were not harmed, while the driver of the Niva admitted fault. The Traffic Police are currently establishing the identities of the drivers.
According to Shamshyan, the Niva's license plates are registered under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia's Penitentiary Service, and the vehicle serves the head of the Vardashen Penitentiary.
