Inmate Dies at the 'Inmate Hospital' Correctional Facility
The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia reports that Vladislav Mikhaili Muradyan, an inmate at the Ministry's 'Inmate Hospital' correctional facility, has passed away. Muradyan, born in 1961, was sentenced under Article 177, Part 3, Point 1.1, Article 176, Part 1, and Article 176, Part 2, Point 4 of the RA Criminal Code to 8 years of imprisonment. He had previously been convicted 8 times.
On August 8, 2019, he was transferred from the 'Armavir' correctional facility to the 'Inmate Hospital' under conditions of HRG 3rd clinical phase, suffering from severe immune deficiency, widespread atopic dermatitis complicated with furunculosis, chronic gastritis, chronic toxic hepatitis C, secondary anemia, hypoproteinemia, and gallstones.
He had been transferred multiple times to civilian hospitals and returned to the correctional facility. On January 15, 2020, at 00:35, he was taken to the 'St. Grigor Lusavorich' Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 01:45 on the same day. Investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic medical examination has been appointed.
