Accident in Yerevan: Minibus and GAZ 2410 Collide; Driver Found Intoxicated
On January 14, an accident occurred in Yerevan around 11:15 PM at the intersection of Baghramyan Avenue and Demirchyan Street. A collision took place between a Mercedes G 550, driven by 43-year-old Suren Artsvuni from Yerevan, whose license plate is 10 PD 100, and a GAZ 2410, operated by 36-year-old Armen Hakobyan from the village of Voskevaz in Aragatsotn region, with the license plate 34 OR 196.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan's report from the scene, the passenger of the GAZ 2410, 36-year-old Karen Khachatryan, who was also a fellow villager of the driver, was hospitalized with bodily injuries at number 1 university hospital.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. Both drivers underwent sobriety tests at the scene, revealing that the GAZ 2410 driver was intoxicated (at the highest level of intoxication), while the minibus driver was sober.
