Seyran Ohanyan Qualifies March 1 Victim's Heir Statement as a Threat
The statement made by Edik Harutyunyan, the heir of one of the victims of March 1, indicating that "you must respect March 1, otherwise you will face our law," has been labeled as a threat by former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan. "Of course, it is a threat," Ohanyan stated.
Seyran Ohanyan is accused in the case of March 1 of undermining the constitutional order of Armenia. At the time of the March 1 events in 2008, he held the position of Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
In response to the question of what to expect for himself, Ohanyan replied, "I think it will be revealed in the next trial." The court session has been postponed due to the absence of Yuri Khachaturov's lawyer, Mihran Poghosyan. The next hearing will take place on January 21 at 1:00 PM.
