Pedestrian Accident on Baghramyan Avenue
Today, January 14, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 07:50, Arkadi Vaghramyan, a 37-year-old resident of Alaverdi, struck 63-year-old Karine Markosyan, a Yerevan resident, with his VAZ 2107 vehicle (license plate 35 VG 537) as she crossed the street in an unauthorized area, specifically at an underground passage intended for pedestrians on Baghramyan Avenue.
According to shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene, called for an ambulance via Yerevan's emergency services (1-03), and assisted the medical personnel who arrived promptly at the accident site. The victim was diagnosed with severe but stable injuries and was transported to the number 1 university hospital.
At the request of the investigator, the vehicle has been moved to a secured area maintained by Yerevan's Traffic Police.
