Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Highway: Passenger Transferred to ‘Hrazdan’ Medical Center
Today, January 13, an accident occurred in the Kotayk region due to icy road conditions. According to Shamshyan.com, around 09:40, 35-year-old Levon Gasparyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his KIA vehicle with temporary license plates 16 24 08/01 on the 42nd kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway and crashed into trees.
As a result of the accident, a passenger, 42-year-old Suren Chiloyan, also a resident of Yerevan, suffered bodily injuries and was transferred to the ‘Hrazdan’ Medical Center.
Road police officers who were on duty at the scene were the first to provide assistance to the driver and the injured passenger, offering help until the arrival of medical personnel. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power and set up a perimeter around the accident site.
Material on the incident is being prepared. According to the source, the cause of the accident was the icy road, and it was only after the accident that local road maintenance workers arrived to begin treating the road with salt and sand.
