Fire at the Republican Children's Rehabilitation Center

On January 10, at 05:39, a call was received by the 911 service reporting a fire at the Rehabilitation Center located at 109 American Street in Yerevan. Two firefighting units from the Yerevan City Rescue Department and an emergency response team from the National Crisis Management Center were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the fire broke out in one of the bedrooms on the first floor of the third building of the Republican Children's Rehabilitation Center. The fire was contained by 05:57 and extinguished by 06:15. The bedroom, approximately 12 square meters, was completely smoke-damaged, and the property was partially burned.

Two staff members and 10 children were evacuated. Roman E. (born in 1997) received appropriate medical assistance from paramedics on-site.
