One-Time Birth Benefit for First and Second Child Set at 300,000 Dram, Government Announces
The Government of Armenia has announced that, according to a decision made on July 1, 2020, the amount of one-time birth benefit for first and second children born after this date will be set at 300,000 dram.
For the birth of the first child, the benefit will be increased by an additional 250,000 dram, while for the second child, it will be increased by 150,000 dram.
The Prime Minister indicated that this decision aims to encourage citizens to have children and facilitate the swift return of mothers with relevant skills to the labor market.
He emphasized that this initiative is directed at increasing women's participation in public economic life.
