American Soldiers Warned in Advance of Upcoming Strikes, Welt
American military bases in Iraq were targeted by Iranian strikes that were launched deliberately close to designated targets. This is reported by the German publication Welt.
Media reports have emerged indicating that American soldiers were warned in advance about the impending strikes. They managed to take precautionary measures and hide. Additionally, most of the missiles fell just short of the targeted bases, claims the publication. “This resembles more of a peace offering than a lethal strike. Nevertheless, the Iranian state has preserved its face,” the publication notes.
As a result of the shelling of the military bases, the extent of damage is minimal, and there are no casualties. Tehran aims to avoid further escalation of the conflict and is not interested in total confrontation, asserts the Welt publication.
