Verification of Armenian Citizens Among Victims of Downed Aircraft in Iran: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
“Information regarding the presence of Armenian citizens among the victims of the Ukrainian passenger Boeing-737 that crashed in Iran is currently being verified,” noted Anna Naghdalyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on her Facebook page.
It should be mentioned that earlier reports stated that a Ukrainian aircraft with 180 passengers onboard crashed during takeoff from Tehran airport. According to sources, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction. The Ukrainian aircraft was en route to Kyiv from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport.
