Door of Bus Falls During Ride in Yerevan: Municipality's Response
As reported earlier, the door of the number 15 minibus fell off during its journey in Yerevan. Yerevan Municipality's Department of Information and Public Relations head, Hayk Kubatyan, told Auroranews that appropriate oversight measures are being implemented in the sector.
"The issue is that a large number of minibuses have been in operation for over 10 years. Starting next year, we will transition to a new transportation network, which will allow us to avoid such incidents," he stated.
ArmDaily.am’s correspondent witnessed the number 15 bus traveling without a door today. One of the passengers had opened the door when it fell off. This could have ended badly, but fortunately, the passenger was a man who managed to control the door at the moment of the fall.
After the door fell, the driver and the passenger exchanged accusations before jointly reinstalling the door onto the bus and continuing their journey. Throughout the trip, one passenger held the door to prevent it from swinging open.
