Bus Falls 500 Meters in Nepal: Casualties and Injuries Reported
A bus in Nepal has fallen from a height of 500 meters, resulting in at least 14 fatalities and several injuries. This was reported by the Himalayan Times, citing law enforcement officials.
The bus was en route to the capital city of Kathmandu. According to authorities, there were Hindu pilgrims on board. Twelve individuals died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
It is presumed that the accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle, causing the bus to slide off the road and plunge nearly 500 meters down.
Currently, law enforcement and local residents are engaged in rescue operations.
