Zaven Andriasyan – European Blitz Chess Vice-Champion
Armenian grandmaster Zaven Andriasyan has become the vice-champion of European blitz chess. After 22 rounds of the tournament held in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, Andriasyan collected 17 points, securing second place with additional tiebreak points, yielding the gold medal to Russian Igor Lisiy.
Gabriel Sargsyan finished in 18th place. The day before, Gabriel Sargsyan had also been crowned the European champion in rapid chess.
