We Want to Abolish the 'Air Tax' for All Passengers: Tatevik Revazyan
In the National Assembly, a draft law presented by the Civil Aviation Committee was introduced for a second reading, which provides benefits for airlines that open new routes for the first time in Armenia.
The head of the Committee stated that the draft law pertains to routes that have not seen flights from Armenia in the past 12 months. Flights on such routes will be exempt from the 'air tax' of 10,000 drams.
'Our ultimate goal is to remove the air tax for all passengers, but we need some time to prove that by abolishing the air tax, we will genuinely contribute to the development of our aviation,' Revazyan said.
