21-Year-Old Man Suspected of Sexual Acts Against 15-Year-Old Girl

The Investigative Department of the Mashtots Police is preparing materials related to a case of sexual acts committed against a 15-year-old girl, A.M., a resident of Yerevan.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the minor affairs division of the department received information indicating that a 21-year-old man, Seryozha T., had engaged in sexual activities with a 10th-grade student from one of Yerevan's schools from June to September of this year.

The police of Mashtots found the suspect, who was taken into custody at the Mashtots Police Station.

As reported by G. Shamshyan, Seryozha T. met A.M. through the social network 'Classmates' and was well aware that she had not yet turned 16. This year, he allegedly had sexual relations with her several times in his Opel Zafira vehicle on Margaryan Street.

The investigator has ordered a forensic examination.
