17,000 Citizens of Armenia Obtain Russian Passport
The number of foreign citizens who received Russian citizenship in 2019 has increased by 1.5 times compared to the previous year. According to Izvestia, from January to September of this year, 17,000 citizens of Armenia have obtained Russian passports.
Among those who received Russian citizenship, citizens of Ukraine lead with 146,000 individuals, followed by citizens of Kazakhstan (35,000), Tajikistan (30,000), Armenia and Uzbekistan (14,000), and Moldova (11,500).
