The 65-year-old Lukashenko is often seen accompanied by 22-year-old Vasilievich since her victory in the 'Miss Belarus' beauty contest in May of the previous year. The couple has attended state festivals, hockey tournaments, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia together.

Lukashenko awarded Vasilievich a state medal for her contributions to culture and charity. He personally oversaw her preparations for the 'Miss World 2018' contest, where Vasilievich placed third.
